The Release of Peter Corris' 30th Cliff Hardy novel
Allen and Unwin will be launching the 30th Cliff Hardy novel on Tuesday 5th December. The Undertow continues the most enduring private detective series in Australia and reconfirms Peter Corris' unofficial title as the father of Australian crime fiction (as if he needed it).

And how about a recommendation or two from among the many Clif Hardy titles?
Thanks

Hi Peter
Here are a few of the Cliff Hardy books that I think are the better ones.
First off, it's worthwhile starting with the first book of the series - The Dying Trade. Hardy's a little raw and very much a loner and Corris is definitely still feeling his way with the character but it's a good opportunity to see where he started from.
From there I'd recommend Make Me Rich, The January Zone, O'Fear and Aftershock.
Really though, it's a very consistent series that makes a progression from book to book, i.e. characters met in early books return in the later ones. I'm still working my way through the series myself and hope to have read them all in the next year.
Thanks; I'll look for them. And I'll have no hesitation about ordering from Australia, if I have to. My Pufferfish books arrived in excellent time'
